She'll be shopping in no time

Reading some comments, I am so glad that people are looking out for Mom's greater calling....deal shopping! I know she has shopped for many an occasion for Central, for family and for friends. Eric made a comment today on one of our visits with her that Kohls had called and were concerned that their December sales were down. I think we could hear a faint chuckle. If you don't know Mom very well, she loves Kohls! I will have to introduce her to online shopping.

It feels good to lighten the mood a little, though she will head back into surgery on Monday. It is amazing how alert she was during our last visit this evening before we left. Now, I am left thinking how she is tonight processing the bits and pieces of information she has learned throughout the day from us and her nurses. I pray for peaceful sleep.

It is a little quiet in her room so I think we are going to try to take a cd player tomorrow and a couple cds. Mom loves music and I hope it will bring her some comfort during the times when she is alone. Eric reminded me that I better bring some extra batteries, b/c I don't want to unplug anything. Oops! :)

Though undesirable circumstances, we had a nice family visit this evening. Our thoughts are with Lisa and the girls as they stayed behind in N.C. for this trip. Lisa, I hope you feel better soon and get some rest.

Thank you for the continued prayers. GOOD night.

Hi Allison,

We'll be praying for Anita, Ed, Eric and you this morning at Central - for continued progress and strength and healing. (And continued humor through it all!) The Community Ministry Committee will be hosting the Alternative Christmas Fair at Central today, and I know all of the CMC members will have Anita and your family on our minds and in our hearts. (I bet she would have decorated & loaded up the pinecones for it!) I'll talk with you soon, Amy Mast

Dear Carwile Family,
I pray that you feel God's wholesome and warm embrace this day as you gather around Anita's bed. I share tears of joy that she is awake and keenly aware of your presence at her bedside. I also pray for your continued care and patience as you keep vigil at the hospital and that each of you is energized by the prayerful spirit that surrounds your family right now.
We light the peace candle on the Advent wreath this morning and I will hold you all in light, praying that peace fill your days.
In peace,
Kate McGregor Mosley

Allison,

Thank you for sharing your beautiful updates. I am so glad Eric arrived safely and still has his sense of humor. Music is a great idea as it can be so soothing. I pray for you at night when I am up with the baby. I will say an extra special prayer tonight for her surgery tomorrow. I pray for you to have a peaceful night's sleep too. You have a lot going on so don't forget to take care of yourself.
