A peaceful night to come

I joined Dad back at the hospital tonight to find Bill and Martha Kimes and Jonathan keeping him company. How wonderful visitors are these nights.

We went to see Mom and got a very informative report from the nurse. Mom is stable and doing well. She is well covered trying to warm up after being on the cold operation table. They have run some more tests so we will get the results of those tomorrow. They installed the filter to prevent blood clots so that is reassuring. They are also going to start feeding her to see how she responds. It has been 5 days so I am sure she is a little hungry. She would probably prefer prime rib, but baby steps. :)

We don't know any more about her shoulder so look forward to hearing about that tomorrow.

It's been a long day, but thank you to all the visitors and calls to Dad. We are surrounded by so much love.

Peaceful dreams, Mom.

Allison,
I just learned of your mother's accident yesterday and it was wonderful to get caught up on all the details of the week through this blog. Thank you for taking the time to update it so often. Know that I am praying for you, your father and especially your mother. It is obvious that God's protection is around her and he will see her through this trying situation. God is pleased, I am sure, with the strength through him that your family is showing during this crisis.
Love, Kelly Hampton (Lisa and Eric's friend)

I got an email from Sharon this morning Allison and your mother and family will be in our thoughts and prayers. AMC is not far from us at all so if you need anything at all, shower, change of clothes, hot meal just give me a call or shoot me a text. Anything we can do to help. It sounds like she is doing remarkably well given the accident and we'll keep praying for her. Best wishes and hopes to you and your family.

Love,
Carrie & Steven

Allison,

I just received Sharon's e-mail as well. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family.

Also, if I can help in any way, please let me know... from reading your blog it sounds like your mom had a vena cava filter implanted to protect her from blood clots. I work with several vena cava filter companies, so if I can answer any questions for your or your family, please let me know -- 770-476-9940 (office).
