A nice night to remember

We had a nice visit

Amy and Allen Mast and Jackie Jenkins just left as we are here in the hospital this evening. We had some good laughs enjoying our fond moments with Mom. Thanks for the visit. How was that contraband biscuit, Jackie?

Unfortunately, never crossed paths with Dr. Spence so we can only go on our time with the nurse and surgical resident. We learned that they lightened Mom's sedation so that they could cut down the ventilator and have her try to breathe on her own with support as needed. She did so well this morning that she did it all day. Now, she is pooped (as her nurse would say). They were giving her a break this evening, but were pleased with how well she breathed on her own. Way to go, Mom!

Her fever has broken so hopefully they will be able to insert the filter tomorrow.

We give thanks for all of your care and prayers. They really mean so much to us.

Allison, this blog is a great idea. It gives us a chance for daily updates on Anita without bothering the family. Anita will be just fine. She is such a remarkable woman. I have a PV filter and it was a painless procedure. In fact, I've had it for 2 years and you can't even tell it's there. It's just a great backup in the event of blood clots. Our prayers continue to be with you, Ed and all the family. God bless all of you.

Just letting you know we are thinking of you from down in Savannah.

Unfortunately, I think I have a feeling of what you all are going through. Just stay together.

We are thinking of and praying for all of you.

Allison, I just read the blot and caught up on everything. What a frightening experience. It sounds like you all are managing as well as you can. Each of you are in my prayers and I will continue to stay updated via the blog. I'll give you a call tomorrow.

Carwile & Webb Families,
This is such a great way to keep everyone updated on what's going on with Anita! It's no surprise all the outpouring of love, concern, and care for you all! Anita is such a fabulous woman who is so strong and positive. She couldn't ask for a more wonderful family to support her through her recovery. God will see you all through this difficult time. We are saying many prayers for you all.

Love to you all,
Halle & John Price
