Though such a small gesture, a nod from my mom speaks monuments. Dad and I went to visit her this evening and we had a good visit. Her fever has broken slightly and they continue to work to get that down.
When we go to leave Dad says, "I love you, putz. And, I know you love me, too." Mom gave a big nod to that statement and Dad and I both turned to mush.
Her amazing strength keeps us strong, as well as, all of your continued support.

I just learned today of this terrible accident and am still in a bit of shock. It was so great to reconnect with Anita and Ed this summer during their Alaska travels and "catch up" a bit on the family. Thank you Allison and Eric for this blog and all the updates. I will be checking in daily to learn of Anita's newest "baby steps" and cheering her along with each one! I thank God that she survived this awful accident and pray that she heals quickly.
