A nice night to remember

If it comes apart, maybe it's time to go !

Dear Family and Friends,
Anita is making good progress in stretching her muscles and abilities to do more things each day. Several days a week all the people on the rehab hall have lunch together while sitting in their wheelchairs. Anita has learned about some people with interesting backgrounds.
Tomorrow Anita with have rehab in the morning and then go to surgery to have the erector set removed, she will be sedated and be done in about 2-3 minutes. I'll be waiting for her to return to her room. Another plateau reached. The next hurdle will be to have the catheter removed so she can be in total control of her plumbing system. The down side of that is that it will take several days for her bladder muscles to get back on the job. I did say it was a hurdle.
We will rejoice Wed pm and Anita will continue to work the muscles and do the special exercises so that she can move from the bed to a wheel chair and back again with only the assistance of one person. The future work will be from chair to seat in the car, do they have training for that? I need some memos. Take care and stand by, she's making progress you can see. Ed

Take good notes because it sounds like she may be getting in the car sooner rather than later. Each day is bringing her closer to her goal of a full recovery. Tell Anita the in thing for the stars lately is to be in rehab. She is doing the cool thing!

Take care and we look forward to hearing about a great day tomorrow.

Greetings from Portland, Oregon. It's great to hear all of the good news and progress that Anita is making. Ed, hope that you're able to get a little rest and to be able to maintain your strength to keep up. Know that we continue to pray for the both of you. Oh, did anyone let you know that the world has another Mo? "Little Mo" was born in Indianapolis on the 22nd and all are well.
Take Care,
Mo
