It has been a pretty slow week with Mom just relaxing and letting her arm heal. Dad spoke with a social worker yesterday that coordinates care of long-term patients with the insurance companies in mind. Mom will be transferred to an acute rehab facility, hopefully in Decatur, but we are unsure of timing at this point. Though she awaits shoulder surgery, it might be far enough away that she will go to a rehab facility and then return to the hospital for surgery. Cost is a driving factor in this decision process so we will let you know more as we know more.
Thank you for your visits and phone calls this week. I was out sick for a couple days and have been unable to visit so look forward to catching up with Mom this weekend.

I hope your Mom continues to recover. I know all to well the hospital life and it not a lot of fun. Please let her know she is in my prayers and I hope to get by and say hello soon (I just hate Hospitals).
Thanks to you and your Dad for putting up this blog to keep up all informed of Anita's recovery. I am asked on a daily basis about Anita and refer all to the blog instead of rehashing what I read.
